Bro. Mark Barco SJ, spent 17 years across India and parts of South and East Asia on retreats and renewal courses to common people, to religious, to clergy with their Bishops. He has developed themes like dialogue, discernment, social justice, evangelization, basic communities, gospel counsels, prayer and community building, as animator and facilitator.
Cycling and driving school buses is just one of his wide range of odd combinations that keep him smiling. His voluntary outreaches have included sharing the Hindu rural farmers’ lifestyle while into non-formal education, refugee camps in Africa, earthquake sites in Latur, and more recently in a village off Bhuj, where he spent eight years. He has five books to his credit as a writer.
